The Manx Learning and Care Centre, in association with Ruy Solutions, has been set up to offer accessible, low cost training for the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) Diploma in Health and Social Care.

The Social Care Bill 2013, which came into force in January 2014 and the Minimum Standards, require all care workers to have a QCF care qualification or be working towards this award by 2015.
The Manx Learning and Care Centre has been set up to offer accessible, low cost training which can either be funded by the learner or the learner’s employer.
The QCF qualification will probably take you about a year to achieve, completing one unit every 2 weeks, or in your own time.
Learners with special requirements are very welcome at the Centre and will be offered extra tuition by their assigned Assessor.
You will be assessed in your workplace and will need the permission of your employer for this to take place.

THE CENTRE ALSO OFFERS THE DEMENTIA PATHWAY
You will receive an Induction with the Centre and will be provided with a Learner Workbook containing all the mandatory units. You will also be given a Personal Development File where you can keep your CV, Code of Conduct, and a record of the training you attend.
